What's In Bloom - February

This yellow-flowering winter jasmine starts in mid to late February. Find it near Dogwood Lane west of the Quarters building.

Winter aconites carpet the winter ground in the picnic grove at the arboretum in late February. When the sun comes out they are buzzing with hungry bees!

Vernal witch-hazel blooms in February, a few months after the closely-related American Witch Hazel. Find a large cluster of these to the left of the main road entering the arboretum from Route 50, and near the rose family section of the arboretum.

One of the first dogwoods to bloom, find the fantastic Japanese Cornelian Cherry in the dogwood collection near the pollinator garden.

Find some early blooming hellebores along the edge of the pollination garden!
