Did you know Garden Fair is primarily a volunteer run event? It takes up to 200 volunteers to pull off this massive fundraiser that brings in 60 vendors and thousands of people across a 300-mile radius to purchase the best selection of native plants, annuals, perennials, herbs, trees, shrubs, garden tools, nature-inspired crafts and more. All proceeds from this biggest fundraising event of the year support Blandy Experimental Farm and the State Arboretum's varied collections and public education programs.

We have all types of volunteer positions available, from plant sales, to wagon wrangling, to trash management, admission gate attendants and more. Positions are available Friday evening, May 10th from 3:00 – 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, May 11th – 12th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. VISIT OUR SIGN-UP GENIUS TO LEARN MORE AND SIGN-UP NOW
We also have a dedicated Set-Up and Take Down crew who volunteer setting up the entire Fair on our event field, including parking set-up, raising a few tents, helping vendors to their booths and more.
