Cattails in Wetland

Wetland

Cattail reeds swaying in the breeze. Bees and hummingbirds visiting jewelweed and buttonbush, flitting from flower to flower. A great blue heron fishing in the shallow water. The wetland section of the native plant trail has a huge diversity of summer blooming shrubs and wildflowers, and the semi-permanent bodies of water attract many species of frogs, turtles, and songbirds. This area is ideal for bird watchers, or people who just want to sit amongst the reeds and listen to their songs.
