Facing Challenges with Action

Butternut trees are under siege from canker, but we are confronting this threat. With new grant secured in 2025, we will expand native butternut conservation efforts in Virginia.

Strengthening Research

When research funding was cut nationwide, we took action. FOSA stepped up to support Blandy's undergraduate program while retaining vital funding for graduate researchers. Together, we are cultivating the next generation of environmental scientists.

Growing Engagement

Key Arboretum populations, like paw paws and ginkgoes, are attracting more visitors than ever! We’re excited to improve the paw paw trail and expand services during peak ginkgo fall color to showcase these species.
