Leave a Lasting Legacy

Include the Foundation in Your Estate Plans

One of the most meaningful ways to support the Arboretum's future is through a planned gift. By including the Foundation in your will, trust, retirement account, or other estate plans, you can help ensure that future generations will continue to enjoy, learn from, and be inspired by this special place.

Ways to Give

  • Bequest in Your Will or Trust: Designate a specific amount, percentage, or portion of your estate to the Foundation.
  • Retirement Accounts: Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), or other retirement plan.
  • Life Insurance Policies: Designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of an existing or new policy.
  • Other Planned Gifts: Charitable trusts and other giving vehicles may provide benefits to both you and the Foundation.

Join the Cornerstone Society

Donors who include the Foundation in their estate plans are invited to join UVA’s Cornerstone Society, recognizing individuals whose foresight and generosity help sustain the Arboretum for generations to come.
