The film starts at 7:30 PM; plan to arrive between 6:00-7:00 PM for food and drinks, local native plant nurseries, conservation groups, and prizes! Then set up chairs or a blanket in Blandy’s amphitheater to enjoy Hometown Habitat - Stories of Bringing Nature Home under the stars. This documentary film profiles 7 “hometown habitat heroes” around the country who are taking practical steps to bring more native plants into their backyards and communities. The narrative thread of this 8-part documentary by Catherine Zimmerman is provided by renowned entomologist Douglas Tallamy, Ph.D. whose research, books and lectures about the use of non-native plants in landscaping sound the alarm about habitat and species loss.

Families welcome!

Bring your own chairs or picnic blanket, and a flashlight.

Dress for the weather.
