Jake Trusheim
Environmental Educator
Jake Trusheim is an environmental educator passionate about creating the next generation of environmental stewards. Growing up in northern California, Jake attended UC Davis, where he earned a B.S. in Wildlife & Conservation Biology, as well as a B.A. in Spanish. Jake has worked with elephant seals and sea lions at a marine mammal rehabilitation center, researched brood parasitism in wood ducks, and studied an endangered species of frog in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Jake has taught in a variety of environmental education and outdoor recreation roles across the country: He’s taught lessons in fire ecology in California, rock climbing & geology in Colorado, & used tide pools as classrooms in coastal Maine. He has also led gap semester field programs and multi-day bike trips in Peru, Chile, & Alaska.
Jake is devoted to creating and delivering exceptional, experiential programs that encourage students to connect with and care for our natural world. He can often be found flipping over rocks in search of salamanders, kicking a soccer ball, or reading a book in his hammock.
