Holiday Workshops Start this Weekend
Making wreaths at Blandy Experimental Farm is a great way to spend a December morning or afternoon. Registration is limited and filling up quickly!
These workshops all take place in the Library in the Quarters Building at Blandy Experimental Farm in Boyce, Virginia. All materials are provided!
It's a great time to come together, show off your creativity, sip on cider, nibble holiday cookies, share laughs, and get in the holiday spirit.

Although we think the ginkgoes look great year-round, their moment of golden glory has passed for 2023. Most of the trees are bare. The leaves have faded to a dull tan color.

Ginkgo Visitors- Road Closure this Weekend
New traffic pattern Friday, Oct. 27 (AM) - Sunday, Oct. 29 (PM)
No vehicle traffic to Ginkgo Grove via Tuleyries Lane.
For the safety of all visitors, the route to the Ginkgo Grove along Tuleyries Lane and through the Cedars of Lebanon will only be open to pedestrians and to staff vehicles. So sorry for any inconvenience!

2023 GINKGO WATCH Wednesday, October 25th- Yellow!
The Ginkgo Grove undergoes a magical transformation each Fall as the leaves transition from green to gold. Here's what the Ginkgo Grove looks like today (Wednesday, October 25th).
Most of the trees in the Ginkgo Grove are mostly yellow, although there are still a few pockets of green here and there.
To avoid crowds this weekend, we strongly encourage visitors to come on a weekday.

In 2011, a group of bicycling arborists paused at the Arboretum and planted 35 trees in an hour. That planting kicked off our Community Forest, a multi-year community tree planting to expand the forest for wildlife near the front entrance. See the forest today!
